René studied tax law at the University of Leiden. After getting his degree, René started his professional career in 1998 as an indirect tax lawyer at KPMG Meijburg & Co.'s office in Amsterdam. Having also worked at Arthur Andersen / Deloitte's office in Rotterdam, René established his own indirect tax law firm in 2004.

Joeri studied tax law at the University of Leiden. Joeri started his professional career as an indirect tax lawyer at Arthur Andersen's office in Rotterdam in 1998. As of 2002 Joeri continued his career at BDO CampsObers' office in Rotterdam. As of September 2006 Joeri joint the indirect tax law firm "Schilder & Stoffels Indirect Tax Lawyers" as a partner.
